2023 Authentic Dancer Series -- How Do I Join?

HOW DO I JOIN?
First, I need to know a bit about you. Also, I need to see your dance so I know where you are now in terms of your technique and style. There are three easy steps.

2. Send the non-refundable application fee ($25US) to my PayPal account. (_________) The application fee will be applied to your first course.
3. Send a video of you dancing (about five minutes or so) by WE TRANSFER to dancingphoenix.net@gmail.com which is clean and clear. It does not have to be professional. You can film the video at home with your phone camera as long as I can see your movement clearly. You do not have to havce make-up or wear a costume unless you want to do that. This is not a contest and this is not a judgment. It is a tool to find out where to begin.
That's it! So simple!
I will contact you within 5 - 7 days of receiving your application and video.
PLEASE NOTE*** If there is currently no space available, you will be put on a waiting list and I will contact you when the next spot is available. If you do not want to be put on a waiting list, you have the option of applying the $25 fee to a normal private lesson or a coaching session.

MUCH MORE THAN YOUR ORDINARY PRIVATE INSTRUCTION
Imagine a program so exclusive only 10 are accepted for private instruction at any time . . .
. . . The exclusitivity of the Authentic Dancer Series does not mean exclusionary. It means that the those who are in the program are treated with the respect they deserve.
No one is excluded based on their skill level, appearance, popularity, or genre. I am limiting the number of dancers at any given time, so I can be more effective as a teacher. I want to dedicate myself to guiding each one of you to your destination. I want to devote my time to making the best program possible for each individual dancer.
I am designating 2023 as THE YEAR OF THE AUTHENTIC DANCER. In this way I hope to elevate not only individual dancers, but also the Art of Oriental Dance itself. Starting at your Destination and working backwards to where you are now, I will design a unique variety of lessons, practices, training activities, and other experiences which will provide a fast track to where you want to go. I have over forty years of professional dancing, performing, and teaching experience, most of it internationally. You can rely on my expertise.
I can promise you that I will teach you everything you need to realize your dreams in the most effective and efficient way possible. With hard work, dedication, determination, talent, and a belief in yourself, you will achieve your Success, whatever that means to you. I am your Guide, showing you the way. I am your Expert Source of ideas and information. I will be there to Inspire you when the going gets tough, because at times it will. And I will support you when you feel tired or upset. I will challenge you so that you grow. I will correct your mistakes and teach you truly in the best way for you.
And this is what I envision for anyone who wants to become an Authentic Dancer. I imagine that steadily you will progress and improve. Step by step and movement by movement, you will acquire an extensive vocabulary. Your understanding of the music will become more intutive. You will develop more awareness of nuances and the use of energy will become easier. You will begin to feel comfortable whether or not you have choreography to depend on. Your confidence will grow. You will be in the moment when you are dancing. You will feel what it is like to perform without self-conscious awareness and you will be able to move the audience. You will have a solid base of knowledge which will free you to be more creative, and your aesthetic sense will be impeccable.
This may or may not be what you imagine for yourself. Remember that this course is Yours and whether you just want to improve your technique, learn a new choreography, or dance in your local Middle Eastern restaurant, YOU CAN BE ALL THAT YOU IMAGINE!

As I have said before, the exclusivity of The Authentic Dancer Series does not mean exclusionary. I will match your commitment 100%. That means that I can only work with a select group of dancers at any given time. And this is the reason for such a limited number of dancers.
To join this Exclusive Group you need to tell me a bit about you, show me how you dance, and send an application fee. This fee is non-refundable, but you do not lose it. You can apply the $25 fee to your first course. In the case that all spots are filled, you will be put on a waiting list. If you do not want to wait, you can use the application fee toward the cost of a regular private lesson or coaching session (by Zoom or in-person).

Your video should be clean and clear. I just want to watch you dancing. It does not have to be professional. You can film the video at home with your phone camera as long as I can see your movement clearly. You do not have to have make-up or wear a costume unless you want to do that. Those things have no bearing on the outcome because this is not a contest, and I am NOT MAKING A JUDGMENT. I want to see you dance so I know where to start. That's all.
When you complete your application and send me your video, I will respond within 5 - 7 days.
I will carefully read your application. I will review your video several times, making notes of important aspects, and afterwards I will schedule a Zoom Call with you to discuss your goals and dreams and where you want to go with your dance. Together will we formulate a flexible plan of action, and decide whether a one month or three month course whould be better for you.
At that time we will set up a schedule which is mutually convenient. Within limits this schedule can be changed in the event of some unforeseen circumstances. The length of your course will depend upon you and what you want to accomplish. Currently, I am offering one month and three month courses which you can decide to continue.
I want to reitierate that you are not being judged. You do not have to pass a test. I need to see how you dance and find out some information about you in order to know where you currently are and how I can best help you. The information you provide on the application and the video you send are the tools I will use to find Our Starting Point.

SUMMER COURSE FOR BEGINNERS
2022-05-14 by SADIANEW!! SUMMER COURSE FOR BEGINNERS!! (from June through August)
Eight to twelve lessons from June through August. Flexible plan and schedule. Students can attend Super Beginner, Beginner and/or Open Level classes. (See Class Schedule for days and times.)
Students can learn two short dances. Those who want to perform, can join in a Student Dance Party (Hafla).
Usual lesson Fee is 30,000 yen for 8 group lessons. Summer Course is only 20,000 yen for 8 group lessons and 30,000 yen for 12 group lessons.
