Imagine a program so exclusive only 10 are accepted for private instruction at any given time. The exclusivity of the Authentic Dancer Series does not mean exclusionary. It means that those who are in the program are treated with the respect they deserve.
No one is excluded based on their skill level, appearance, popularity, or genre. I am limiting the number of dancers at any given time, so that I can be more effective as a teacher. I want to dedicate myself to guiding each one of you to your Destination. I want to devote my time to making the best program possible for each individual dancer.
I am designating 2023 as the YEAR OF THE AUTHENTIC DANCER. In this way I hope to elevate not only individual dancers, but the Art of Oriental Dance itself. Unlike other teachers who offer private instruction of a pre-set, "one-size-fits-all", course of lessons, the Authentic Dancer Course is one that we create together.
If you know where you want to go, I know how to get you there. You won't waste any time on the way to your destination because my system if both efficient and effective.
Truly one-of-a-kind and tailor-made, your course will have built-in flexibility to accommodate changes (and even detours) along the way. This series of instruction, guidance, and inspiration will be unique to you.

I will not fill you up like an empty cup. You already have the potential inside you or that Desire would not be there. And I am not a Magician who can suddenly materialize your fondest dreams for you. Neither I nor anyone else can promise you that you will become a "Star" or even that you will improve your dance technique. I do not have control over that. You do!!
You will teach me how to teach you. Starting at your Destination and working backwards to where you are now, I will design a unique variety of Lessons, Practices, Training Activities, and Educational Experiences which will provide a fast track to where you want to go. I have over forty years of professional dancing, performing, and teaching experience, most of it internationally. You can rely on my expertise.
I can promise you that I will teach you everything you need to realize your dreams in the most effective and efficient way possible. With hard work, dedication, determination, talent, and a belief in yourself, you will achieve your Success, whatever that means to you.
With my guidance, if you put in the effort, you cannot not get there. No one else can do it for you, but I can show you how You can do it for Yourself. Invest in yourself and reap the benefits.

I am your Guide, showing you the way. I am your Expert Source of information and ideas. I wll be there to Inspire you when the going gets tough, because at times it will. And I will support you when you feel tired or upset. I will challenge you so that you grow. I will correct your mistakes and teach you truly in the Best Way For You.
And this is what I envision for anyone who wants to become an "AUTHENTIC DANCER".
I imagine that you will steadily progress and improve. Step by step and movement by movement, you will acquire an extensive vocabulary. Your understanding of the music will become more intuitive. You will develop more awareness of nuances, and the use of energy will become easier. You will begin to feel comfortable performing, whether or not you have choreography to depend on. Your confidence will grow. You will be in the moment when you are dancing. You will feel what it is like to perform without self-conscious awareness, and you will be able to move the audience. You will have a solid base of knowledge which will free you to be more creative, and your aesthetic sense will be impeccable.
This may or may not be what you imagine for yourself.

HOW DO I JOIN?
First, I need to know a bit about you. Also, I need to see your dance so I know where you are now in terms of your technique and style. There are three easy steps.

2. Send the non-refundable application fee ($25US) to my PayPal account. The application fee will be applied to your first course.
3. Send me a video of you dancing. The video can be one that you take on you phone camera. It doesn't have to be professional. The video must be clear and showing your whole body so that I can easily see how you dance. You do not have to wear a costume or put on make-up unless you want to. Those things do not matter. You are not being judged. I simply need to see watch your dance to see where you cuurrently are in terms of technique, style, and other aspects of dance performance. I will watch the video several times and then contact you to set up a Zoom call so that we can discuss and plan Your Course together.
